Support for Parents & Carers
Let me help guide and support you through the SEND system
Your Support System for Navigating the Complexities of SEND Parenting
When parents get in touch with me they have often been valiantly trying to battle for their children’s right to suitable educational provision for a long time.
I work very practically, to tease out the short-term situation and if there are any ‘quick fixes’, and then see what we need to do to improve the situation for the longer term. I work with the family to find out what the priorities are and then work together on achieving this. I like to think of us working as mini ‘teams around the child’; the SEND education system can be a very isolating place to be and strive to give my clients the support I know has helped me in the past.
I would highly recommend your service to other SEND parents needing support to navigate this challenging journey.
Sharon has brilliant knowledge, planning and communication skills so the likelihood of reaching resolution with the LA and having a better quality EHCP will be much higher by receiving her support. She has a sound knowledge of the law and reminds the LA of this during the mediation. She picked out key needs & provisions from professionals which were missing from the EHCP. Sharon is always offering advice and a plan for next steps which meant I did not feel alone or overwhelmed.

Support Packages
SEND Allies offers support packages for all budgets for key phases of the SEND education cycle. Most of our packages have several options, meaning you can choose the right level for you. We can offer prep help and planning checklists if you feel confident navigating the system already, or you can opt for more in-depth support if needed. Our VIP service offers extensive bespoke support, including accompanying you to meetings and reviews to ensure your child gets the provisions they are entitled to.

EHC Needs Assessment Request
Often clients come to me when their assessment requests have been turned down and I wish I could have helped them sooner. If you feel lost and overwhelmed at the prospect of writing your own application then let me help you through this.

EHCP Draft Review
Once we have a draft of an EHC plan, we must review that all the identified needs and provisions are in place. The key thing is making sure that targets are SMART, provision is specified and quantified, and that all professional views have been fully incorporated.

Mediation
Go into your mediation feeling well prepared and with an experienced advocate in your back pocket to navigate any curve balls.
Prices start at £50 for prep support. We can also offer documentation reviews and more in-depth support, while the VIP option includes attending mediation with you.

EHCP Annual Review
We often breathe a sigh of relief when the EHCP is first finalised… but then the reality of implementing and updating the EHCP becomes the next challenge. Save time and worry with an Annual Review Package.
Prices start at £65 for a planner bundle, with an hour of prep support. I can also attend the review meeting as part of the VIP package.

DLA Form Service
Disability Living Allowance is a government benefit for children with SEND. The form is 40 pages long and consists of 89 questions, which often puts people off completing it.
Applicants can be eligible in nearly £3000 of back payment following assessment, which makes the £120 cost of my form filling service a great investment!

Unlimited Support
This service is for parents and carers who want to navigate the SEND system themselves but would like a little coaching and support from an expert on hand. This is to help you feel more confident and supported in a tricky phase.
The package costs £60 comprises unlimited voice and text messaging support from me for three months, where messages are always answered within 24 hours.

School / LA Meeting
This hugely popular service is where many of my clients start – they need help with school or local authority meetings. This package involves me reviewing the case file, meeting with you to find out what you want to get out of the meeting, then attending to support you at the meeting with school or LA… and supplying all the notes afterwards.
